Am I wrong for staying at my brothers house to dog/cat sit while he’s away with his family rather than 4 trips a day to his house (8 miles round trip)?

What would you do? I can say that from experience, pet sitting is kind of a hassle. Sure, it can pay a lot, but for what? He's right that it would be such a hassle and waste of his time to drive back and forth all day. He'd have to get up early in the morning, drive to let the dog out and walk him, and then go home. And guess what? He'd have to do that all over again a few hours later, and then again in the evening. For the sake of the animals it's best he's there. What if something happens? It's peculiar why she doesn't want him to sleep over, knowing he already has before.

I've also had the experience of staying in someone's home to dog or pet sit, and it can also be a nightmare. Sometimes you just want your own space, a feeling of home. It can be uncomfortable to be in someone else's space, eating their food, sleeping in their bed. Sometimes you just want your couch, your kitchen, and to not feel like you're living out of a bag. I definitely would sleep over like he is, but I wouldn't like it. I just wouldn't say yes to pet sitting at all!
